COMPOSER/SOUND DESIGNER

Excerpt from the opening scene of Twelfth Night:

I would be honored to provide my original works to enhance your performance; please contact me to work together!

In addition to performing, I delight in telling a story through sound – weaving in elements that help establish mood and awaken the senses…

I particularly enjoy working with natural elements (wind rustling plants, storms, birdsong…), some of which I’ve attempted to recreate in live performances, with Foley effects, and using pre-recorded loops in recordings.

I have composed and sound designed for live productions of Shakespeare and contemporary works, winning Aubrey and Blue Ribbon awards (San Diego) for Much Ado About Nothing (sound design, traditional Renaissance setting) and a Blue Ribbon award, Aubrey nomination, for A Midsummer Night’s Dream (original music and sound design). I frequently act as musical director and/or coach, especially for productions for which I write or design.

One of my favorite arrangements

I love putting my own twist on favorite songs! Click here for some of my arrangements of pre-composed music, including Christmas songs. Upcoming projects include popular music from the late 1800s-early 1900s, Americana/folk songs, and children’s lullabies. Stay tuned for those!

One of my favorite originals

I have also recorded a few of my original songs. If you’re a lyricist interested in collaborating, please let me know 🙂

Additionally, if you’re interested in collaborating on a performance or recording as a fellow musician or artist, I’d love to work together!

I regularly make audio and video recordings and have produced work for other artists. If you’re interested in working with me on your own recording, please send me a message!
